Did You Read Origin by Dan Brown?

Dan Brown asks two questions in his new book, Origin-where did we come from? and where are we going?

I feel Dan Brown is planting seeds for a future mindset. Mr. Brown links together science and religion. Can we create a new mindset by understanding the philosophy of physics?

In Origin, Dan Brown quotes the English writer William Blake, "The dark Religions are departed and Sweet Science Reigns."

Mr. Brown ends his story by saying, "Mr. Blake believed that religions came in two flavors-the dark, dogmatic religions that oppressed creative thinking...and the light, expansive religions that encouraged introspection and creatively."

Mr. Brown assures us, "Sweet Science will banish the dark religions...so the enlightened religions can flourish."

By quieting your Ego and what you been taught verbally about God, you can get in touch with your soul, which requires introspection. When you know the difference between your ego and soul, you can relate to the science of nature-physics.

The enlightened Religions are the esoteric universal, spiritual wisdom of all faiths-which requires introspection for a direct union with your soul and the transcendent energy of the universe!

DO YOU PUMP IRON?

The 1985 documentary Pumping Iron 2, featured Bev Francis and  Rachel Mclish. Rachel won Ms. Olympia in 1980 & 1982, bodybuilding's elite competition for women. Rachel Mclish is the sexy and muscular body, Bev Francis is the extremely masculine looking power-lifter who became a bodybuilder.

In 2015, Ms. Olympia was abolished from the scene, stating that the competition became a freak show. Women's bodybuilding went from a desirable achievement to a steroid induced happy hour. Women were becoming man-like, defeating the purpose.

I haven't been up on the bodybuilding scene in a while. However, just a few weeks ago, I went to a bodybuilding show run by Bev Francis's Gym in Syosset, NY. What I encountered was the other extreme, women were competing not for what you could accomplish for your body at the gym (cellulite and jiggling legs!), but for a slutty display! I say let's bring back the Rachel Mclish style!

Did you ever see Pumping Iron 2?

DO YOU KNOW YOUR GHOST IN YOUR SHELL?

This past weekend, I viewed the Japanese remake of The Ghost in the Shell. A SciFi film, The Ghost in the Shell focuses on preserving the brain, then encasing the brain in a mechanical human like body.

The story wants you to think, if the brain survives then the essence of the person is still there, even in a mechanical shell. It's a movie, and its hard to capture the intangible, but the brain is the steering wheel for the human shell-the body. The mind is intangible, and is the essence of one's ego and soul!
