DO YOU PUMP IRON?

The 1985 documentary Pumping Iron 2, featured Bev Francis and  Rachel Mclish. Rachel won Ms. Olympia in 1980 & 1982, bodybuilding's elite competition for women. Rachel Mclish is the sexy and muscular body, Bev Francis is the extremely masculine looking power-lifter who became a bodybuilder.

In 2015, Ms. Olympia was abolished from the scene, stating that the competition became a freak show. Women's bodybuilding went from a desirable achievement to a steroid induced happy hour. Women were becoming man-like, defeating the purpose.

I haven't been up on the bodybuilding scene in a while. However, just a few weeks ago, I went to a bodybuilding show run by Bev Francis's Gym in Syosset, NY. What I encountered was the other extreme, women were competing not for what you could accomplish for your body at the gym (cellulite and jiggling legs!), but for a slutty display! I say let's bring back the Rachel Mclish style!

Did you ever see Pumping Iron 2?

The Soul Mate Prep Blog#93: Are you treating your body like a temple?

Love Your Body

Your body should be treated like a temple. When your emotions are working on the same team as your mind, you will want to be a good parent for your body.

Working out consistently and eating healthy are paramount to keeping your body in top form. When our emotions of guilt and shame control us, we are not the best advocate for our body. Get in touch with your guilt and shame to create a body that you will love.

Are you ready to love your body?

The Soul Mate Prep Blog#52: Is your body in the best possible condition?

Many, many moons ago, Plato said , I think a good soul by its virtue provides a body in the best possible condition.

I feel when one understands their soul, one knows their body is a vehicle for their journey. One instinctively knows to take care of their transportation for their lifetime. It is not vain to look and feel your best.

However, when our emotions are not working with our ego mind, we will hide our soul under the wicked emotions of shame and guilt. Shame and guilt translates to an overweight out of shape body.

Are you hiding your soul with an overweight body?

How are you taking care of your body?

The Soul Mate Prep Blog#46: Are you ready to gallop into your own?

We just entered the Chinese year of the horse. Having spent my early years with the thoroughbred; I can say horses are gorgeous, exude power but at the same time are vulnerable. Horses have a sixth sense and can feel your calmness or fear...

Can you emulate the horse?

Can you take care of your body?

Can you own your power and be vulnerable at the same time?

Are you in touch with your sixth sense?
