The Soul Mate Prep Blog#69: Are you seeing the truth about marriage?

Recently, I read an article about marriage. As I was reading the comments, most people say a great relationship is based on mutual respect, common goals and love.

I ask you: Do you think we are living these values?

It is easy to say mutual respect but to have mutual respect means both people have to be autonomous-that means free from outside influence.

If most people are following along with their family and friends, they are not autonomous. Most marriages, if not all are based on the common goal of family and children, and not a common goal of the two individuals!

Now, we have love-the grand elusive word. However, connecting with someone at the heart is very profound because we are on bridge that connects our personality with our soul.

When we connect personally with our soul, we will connect with someone at the heart level. Now, we are a real lover as opposed to an actor! But, this takes a tremendous amount of understanding of one's self.

Are you ready to stop the fantasy bond about the traditional marriage?

The Soul Mate Prep Blog#68: Are the values of a traditional marriage really what you want?

The traditional marriage was first and foremost about survival. Survival of civilization, families, our species and ourselves.

In the west, we don't think of marriage is for survival, we think we are marrying for love. Today, we associate doing equal chores for an egalitarian relationship!

Friedrich Nietzsche stated: As society changes, we need to change our values. It is simple idiotic to attempt to live by the values of another age.

If you observe, you will notice people are unconsciously marrying for survival needs! We NEED security, we exploit for money and sex. We mindlessly procreate and we demonstrate our power or lack of power with another.

Are you willing to change your old values and live by new ones?

If so, this means you will consciously balance the needs of survival first and then marry. Are you ready to marry for love and not survival?

The Soul Mate Prep Blog#67: We are living in the free world but are you taking it for granted?

I was broken into submission by my mother at a very young age. I didn't have the freedom to separate from my mother like most people.

However, living in the free world gave me the freedom to understand the dysfunction I was brought up with. In so doing, I became aware that our society mates for unconscious survival needs. Emotionally, we are still living in the 13th century, when it comes to coupling!

We have so many freedoms in the west, where one can live on their own and understand and transform into a whole human being. When we become whole, we can live happily ever after!

Neo-Platonism that transpired in the early centuries of this Common Era and was revived in the European Renaissance believed human perfection and happiness were attainable in this world, without awaiting an afterlife. They knew self-knowledge was the key to achieve heaven on earth! However, they were not living in a free world, but we are!

Why are you not taking advantage of our freedom?

The Soul Mate Prep Blog#66: Are established New Age believers true to their ego or soul?

In his book, Jung and the New Age, Professor David Tacey states: "It is Jung's belief that the human ego (Personality) must voluntarily serve and attend a larger spiritual mystery. This is in contrast to the widespread popular belief that the spiritual mystery must serve and attend the needs of the ego."

In my experience, people who say they are "Spiritual" are just following along and living a conventional life. Their egos have attained a certain amount of stability and now they want to capitalize on the new spiritual mindset that has been developing for some years now!

In this inauthentic age, the soul is just an avenue to meet their own needs; this is narcissistic!

Years ago, I attended a lecture on the Kabbalah and the Rabbi said it all: People think that relaxation is being spiritual. "To live authentically true to one's soul is following unseen passion and wisdom that doesn't adhere to society's rules."-Serena Jade

The purpose of the ego is to express the soul. After many years, the ego has attained authentic stability, has personal power and becomes autonomous! The ego now can serve their spiritual soul as their authentic self is born- the incarnation of the human with the Divine!

Are you true to your ego or soul?

The Soul Mate Prep Blog#65: Is your intuitive mind equal with your rational mind?

We live in a world, where our rational ego minds dominate. What if we lived in accordance with our intuitive mind? What would that look like?

Our rational mind says, we need to abide by the extroverted rules of our social order. We are ruled by our five senses. What we see, hear, touch, taste and smell is the law.

Very logical, objective thought is accepted and never questioned. If one deviates from "the law" and lives by an inner knowing, they are thought to be crazy. Fear, sets in for the people around this person  as that person is reflecting fear in the other.

Living in conjunction with our intuitive mind, opens our lives to an infinite number of possibilities. To be intuitive is to have a sense to look within and pay attention to the information, that is not logical!

The Soul Mate Prep Blog#64: Do you have the courage to take the step to the other side of life?

I was walking on the boardwalk in Long Beach, New York on a hazy, hot and humid day two years ago. I was listening to a friend's Ipod and the Moody Blues song, The Other Side of Life began to play.

The song was released in 1986 and I am sure, I have listened to it many times before. But, on that July day, absorbed in my favorite east coast weather, weeks before, I would make my move to California and cross the threshold, the words deeply resonated with me!

The risk the lovers and fighters take, are on the other side. For me, that meant separating from my narcissistic mother so , I could be my own person. As the song goes, you know the only way to get there is to take the very difficult first step. I took that step and the arduous journey on the other side was necessary to ready myself for my deepest love!

Are you wiling to take a risk and investigate the other side of life?

The Soul Mate Prep Blog#63: Do you understand your past?

Two weeks ago, I was watching the TV show Blackbox. I was appalled at what the writer's put out in the world. Blackbox is about a woman who is bipolar. The woman's psychotherapist tells her to forget the past and focus on the now.

OH MY GOD...I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS HEARING.HOWEVER, I DID HAVE A REALIZATION.

"There is a big difference between thinking vs. understanding one's past."-Serena Jade

If I did not understand my past, I know for a fact I would be dead right now!

Most of us think, forget the past, what is the past going to do for me now?

Thinking about the past is not going to do anything. But, understanding will transform your present and future as opposed to recreating the past!

Are you ready to understand your past?
